i warmed up to the thought that i might just be alone
like a bird thats lost its feathers, i feel cold and i’m missing home

life it seems looms over me with an overarching sense of my defeat
cynicism stings, but haunting imagery still clings
to my soul, and to my dreams

my burdens and the bright side
